Who would have thought that a telephone man’s scrap wire would play such an integral part in a young girl’s creative roots?

Artist and jewelry designer Dara Dubinet found her passion early in life. “I remember the phone man used to come by and leave his extra wire on our lawn when I was a child. And what does a little girl do with phone wire?… make jewelry of course!”, says Dara with a smile.

As a graduate of George Washington University, Dara has come a long way. Having lived in Washington DC, New York and Florida, she was finally drawn to the eclectic beach town of Venice Beach, CA where she currently resides and maintains her design studio. “Nature has already spent over 4 billion years creating the most beautiful of treasures”, say’s Dara, “My job is simply to embrace these natural, healing stones with precious metals of Gold and Silver, creating unique, one-of-a-kind wearable talismans.”
