Kathleen Nowak Tucci

Kathleen Nowak Tucci is a Gulf Coast artist whose dramatic recycled rubber jewelry gained the attention of top fashion designers and magazine editors after Italian Vogue chose one of her pieces of jewelry for the cover. Her work was also featured in four more editorial shots, photographed by Steven Meisel, for the August 2010 issue. The issue drew international attention and Tucci moved quickly to a sought-after jewelry designer. Her jewelry is currently sold at select retail stores throughout the U.S.
Kathleen has been creating art for 25 years and has recently begun working with recycled bicycle inner tubes. Kathleen has shown her work in private, corporate, and university collections nationally and internationally. Her latest interest in recycled rubber has landed her in some of the most exclusive boutiques across the country. "I never considered this glamorized. I thought it was disturbing and thought provoking and utterly fascinating in it's interpretation of the struggle for survival. It is controversial and interpretative which is indicative of great artistic expression,” says Tucci.
